Es la segunda vez consecutiva que un tinto portugu\u00e9s es el mejor en este concurso &#8211; el a\u00f1o pasado, en Guimar\u00e3es, le toc\u00f3 al tinto alentejano Poliphonia Signature, de Henrique Granadeiro, ganar este premio. La marca Duvalley es producida en el Duero por la Sociedade Agr\u00edcola Castro de Pena Alba, perteneciente al grupo FTP (propiedad del empresario Fernando Tavares Pereira). Este grupo tambi\u00e9n posee vi\u00f1edos en la regi\u00f3n de D\u00e3o, bajo la marca Quinta do Serrado.<br\/><br\/>Por lo dem\u00e1s, Portugal se llev\u00f3 a casa 9 Grandes Medallas de Oro, 92 Medallas de Oro y 187 Medallas de Plata. La 19\u00aa edici\u00f3n del Concurso Mundial de Bruselas se celebr\u00f3 en Bratislava (Eslovaquia) los d\u00edas 10, 11 y 12 de mayo. En total, se evaluaron 8.200 vinos de 50 pa\u00edses. El panel de catadores, de 40 nacionalidades distintas, inclu\u00eda a 305 profesionales del vino, desde sumilleres a compradores, importadores, periodistas, etc. Una parte era portuguesa, en la que hab\u00eda en\u00f3logos y especialistas en cata de vinos.<br\/><br\/>Tras cuatro a\u00f1os de gira por Europa (incluida Guimar\u00e3es, en Portugal), el concurso volver\u00e1 a Bruselas en 2014 para celebrar su 20\u00aa edici\u00f3n.<br\/><br\/>Por cierto, y como curiosidad, Francia fue el pa\u00eds que m\u00e1s medallas recibi\u00f3 (709), seguido de Espa\u00f1a (524), Portugal (288), Italia (276), Chile (109), Eslovaquia (60) y Australia (47). A nivel de Grandes Medallas de Oro fue Espa\u00f1a la que se llev\u00f3 la palma, con 24; Francia se situ\u00f3 por debajo, con 18, el doble que Portugal (con 9), el tercer pa\u00eds m\u00e1s &#8220;dorado&#8221;.
