Tavfer Vinhos started its activity in the wine business in the 1990s, and today is recognized as a producer of wines from the Douro and Dão demarcated regions.

We took our first steps in the Tábua area, at Quinta Picos do Couto, and, in 2005, we expanded our production by acquiring Quinta do Serrado and Quinta do Mosteiro, in Penalva do Castelo, starting the production of wines from the Dão demarcated region.

It was the acquisition of Quinta das Braceiras, Quinta do Vale do Viso and Quinta do Vale da Vila that led to our expansion into wine production in the Douro demarcated region.

Present in national and international markets, we have the privilege of collecting several awards, won in national and international competitions – from the Douro red wine DUVALLEY Reserva 2010, considered the best red wine in the world, to the Dão red wines Quinta do Serrado Reserva 2010 and Picos do Couto Grande Escolha 2010, all of which have brought Gold Medals to Portugal.

The knowledge, experience, and will of those involved in the company’s daily activity, guaranteeing a thorough control of the entire production, from harvesting to bottling, combined with the family’s enthusiasm and passion for the wine market, guarantee the quality of Tavfer Vinhos’ products.
